That's all it is, Miles. A leap of faith.
Notes from the day

Read today from Farnam Street’s weekly newsletter:
Most arguments are ego competitions disguised as truth-seeking.
Learning to say “you’re probably right” will save you a lot of time and energy.

With all the news about the new iPhones I suddenly missed my iPhone SE from 2016. Didn’t know back then but it was peak Apple design and I regret ever selling it.

Struggling to find the motivation to work lately. Just daydreaming of taking photos while riding my bike and taking breaks every once in a while at some local cafe.
Thu, Sep 25
Decided to seriously pursue graphic design. Ordering some books from Amazon to get started:
The Non-Designer’s Design Book by Robin Williams, and
Graphic Design: The New Basics by Ellen Lupton and Jennifer Cole Phillips

Finally bought a pair of jeans to replace the one I’ve had for at least a decade now.

A bike ride—especially a 37-kilometer one—never failed to cure built-up anxiety.
Watched the 2008 movie CJ7 with the kids not knowing anything about it but quickly recognized Stephen Chow. Quirky story with flashes of Shaolin Soccer, and we especially loved the father’s effort to give his son everything despite having nothing. Something that oddly resonated with our kids.

Slowly realizing photowalks are perfect for those with ADHD (hello, 🙋🏻♂️) who have mastered the art of disengaging and zoning out at the most random moments.
Today, our 11-year-old and myself, with our cameras strapped, went on one inside a mall. Not the best of places to take photos but enjoyed every moment we were both capturing scenes.
