2025: Week 50
Corporate Christmas Party Week
Notes from the day
Mon, Dec 8
One of the greatest feelings in the world is being able to take your parents out for breakfast—or any meal for that matter. Feels like a tiny thank you for everything.
Tue, Dec 9
Completed my 2025 Goodreads Reading Challenge of 12 books early so I opted to start reading Turn the Ship Around!: A True Story of Turning Followers into Leadersby L. David Marquet which has been in my to-read list for quite some time now.
Wed, Dec 10
When I’m already overly stimulated, on top of being extremely introverted, because coffee by harlan+holden is a godsend. Maybe more coffee shops should adopt their kiosk-type ordering system.
Thu, Dec 11
3 out of 4 corporate Christmas parties done.
Fri, Dec 12
Took me 3 hours to travel a measly 13 kilometers by car—something I would’ve covered in 30 minutes on a bike. Dreaming of being able to work outside the city, away from this absurdity of a transport infrastructure.
Sat, Dec 13
Woke up with allergies and spent the rest of day napping in intervals. I’m too old to be staying up past 10 in the evening.
Sun, Dec 14
The urge to pull your kid out of basketball camp because you can see he’s suffering, even though you know that’s exactly what he needs. In the middle of it, he pulled me in and said, “man, this coach is brutal.” 😂
